Canterbury Kindy: The best start for your child

A supportive and engaging Kindy education is an essential early step in children’s educational journey.

The College draws upon the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, based on the Early Years Learning Framework.

Children at Canterbury Kindy are encouraged to question, discover, problem solve and create as they explore their world while developing a sense of belonging.

Pre-literacy and numeracy activities are provided. We also have a readers program, allowing children to visit the library and take home a book to read.

The Kindy’s adventure education playground has been purpose-built for sensory motor learning and early development.

Depending upon availability, children may commence Kindy from age 3 attending either three or five days per week. The day starts at 8:30am and finishes at 3:15pm with before and after school care available outside of these hours at no extra cost. Child Care Subsidies may be available through Centrelink.
