Learning Enrichment

The Inclusive Education Department supports educational programs that cater to students’ varying learning needs and helps them reach their full potential.

Learning Enrichment Teachers (Kindergarten – Year 12) work with classroom teachers to help meet students’ individual needs. Students are also supported by Learning Enrichment Assistants.

Learning Enrichment at Canterbury provides supportive and engaging educational experiences for all students. It also equips students with the necessary skills to enable them to fully function in and outside of the classroom environment.

In addition, ESL (English as a Second Language) Teachers provide specialist support to students through designated programs (Applied Literacy) and collaboration with classroom teachers.

A College-wide process for the identification of Gifted and Talented students has been developed. There are two dedicated Learning Enrichment Centres in operation which act as a learning hub within the Junior School and Middle and Senior Schools.
