Canterbury's F1 in Schools Teams Excel at the Regionals!

F1 in Schools ran their South Brisbane regional competition on 22 August. Canterbury College had two teams competing in this event, one in the Development Class and one in the Professional Junior Class. This competition allows students to develop skills across a broad range from design, development and manufacture in engineering, to marketing, business management and industry collaborations.

The Development Class team members were Ata-Ul-Karim Gohar, Jack Hume and Anderson Som. This group won the following categories in their class; Innovation award; Outstanding Industry Collaboration; Best Verbal Presentation and they received Second place for their class.

The Professional Junior Class won twelve categories across both the professional junior and senior classes including being awarded the Regional Champions. Team members were Casey Milne, Benjamin Newman, Charlie Deane and Kian O’Keefe.

Both Teams are now invited to compete at the State Finals in October.
