Entry Criteria and Academic Requirements
In support of your application, the following are required:
- Copy of Passport
- Previous 2 years of academic transcripts (Evidence of English language ability is required for entry to our mainstream academic courses.)
- Interview in person or via Skype.
- Confirmation that Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirements have been met.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
All Student Visa holders must have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their Visa. This Health Cover provides medical and hospital insurance while living in Australia.
Students must not arrive in Australia before the date of commencement of Health Cover. If you are in Australia and do not have adequate health insurance, you are in breach of visa condition 8501.
Students can find out the length of Health Cover required at student visa grant periods.
Students must include the Policy Number of the OSHC in their Student Visa 500 application to the Australian Visa Office.

The Australian Government wants International students in Australia to have a safe, enjoyable and rewarding place to study. Australia’s laws promote quality education and consumer protection for international students. These laws are known as the ESOS legislative framework and they include the Education Services for Overseas (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018.
